Colour Pattern/Description: The Cocos Island Flycatcher (Nesotriccus RIDGWAYI) has grayish-olive to dark brownish-olive upper parts, a dull buffy eyebrow, two buffy wing bars and fringes to the other wing feathers, and pale grayish-buff to pale yellowish underparts, with a brownish wash over the breast.
Behaviour: The diet of the Cocos Island Flycatcher consists of insects and, seasonally, fruits. Breeding most likely takes place between January and May.
Habitat: The Cocos Island Flycatcher occurs in most habitats from sea-level to the highest hills, including the upper understorey and lower canopy of forests, Hibiscus scrub, Annona swamp, and wooded ravines. It is regularly observed in woodland growth, but the degraded habitat may not sustain the species through its life-cycle.
